The CHONQUER study is a Phase III, randomized, double-blind clinical trial evaluating the safety and effectiveness of an investigational treatment for adults with locally advanced or metastatic conventional chondrosarcoma with an IDH1 gene mutation. This mutation is present in approximately 50% of conventional chondrosarcomas.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tConventional chondrosarcoma is the most common primary bone sarcoma in adults. However, current treatment options are very limited, as conventional chondrosarcoma tumours can resist chemotherapy. Surgery is the main approach for localised diseases, but many patients with advanced or metastatic chondrosarcoma have no systemic treatment options. There is a critical need for new therapies to address this challenging condition.\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tParticipants will take the investigational treatment or a placebo orally once daily until disease progression or treatment discontinuation. Once a participant starts on the treatment, the purpose is to continue until their disease really worsens or too many side effects are encountered. After treatment ends, follow-up visits will be scheduled to monitor the health of the participants. Throughout the study, participants will attend regular visits to monitor their health and undergo necessary assessments.\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
