This website provides information about a current study for patients with locally advanced and metastatic conventional chondrosarcoma.
The CHONQUER clinical trial:
Why are we studying chondrosarcoma treatments?
The CHONQUER study is a clinical research study exploring a new treatment for adults with locally advanced or metastatic conventional chondrosarcoma. Chondrosarcoma is a rare cancer that usually starts in the bones. It is the most common form of bone sarcoma in adults. While surgery is currently the most common treatment option, many patients experience a return of their disease after surgery, and these tumors tend to resist chemotherapy.
Chondrosarcoma is a serious condition and has no approved medications. New treatment options are urgently needed. In this study, researchers aim to find out if the study drug, an investigational treatment, may be safe and effective in managing this rare bone sarcoma.
By participating, you will help researchers learn more about this rare bone cancer and provide hope for better care for others living with chondrosarcoma in the future.

- Are 18 years old or older
- Have been diagnosed with locally advanced or metastatic conventional chondrosarcoma
- Have a specific genetic mutation (IDH1) which will be confirmed by a testing in the frame of the study
